Drama, Romance
1947. On a beach in Normandy, Madeleine, a waitress in a hotel-restaurant and mother of a little boy, meets François, a rich, cultured student. They soon fall in love, but as their relationship progresses it becomes evident that François is trying to escape by entangling Madeleine’s destiny with his own.
Katell Quillévéré skillfully portrays the acceptance of others and the quest for identity across different eras. A melodrama about relationships that is both modern and romantic, featuring a remarkable pair of actors: Anaïs Demoustier and Vincent Lacoste.
