One day, Marianne discovers that the man she loves and whose child she is carrying is an impostor, a fabulist, and a pathological liar. He is no more a surgeon than his name is Alexandre, as he claims. He has four other relationships with women from all over the world, under different identities, each with an imaginary past and profession. A portrait and an exploration, in search of this man of a thousand lives and a thousand faces.
