Anita (Nora Stassi) is a rebellious sixteen-year-old living in rural Sardina, who is caring for her ailing father while he desperately waits for a bone marrow transplant. Neither she nor her grandfather are a suitable match but her ex-drug addict uncle may be a compatible donor. Unfortunately, the two estranged brothers have not spoken in many years, so Anita decides to intervene.
The debut feature from award-winning Italian director Mario Piredda, THE LAMB was awarded Best Film at the Annecy Italian Film Festival and has been touted as a "powerful portrait of Sardinia" (Cineuropa).
