Nicky, a non-conformist, eccentric woman, decides to end it all after losing her remaining welfare benefits. She entrusts her dog Izy to her neighbor, but when she brings him back, a race against time begins as Nicky overdoses. She has only one solution: entrust Izy to Jacques, an employee for Paris' welfare system, who has come to check in on Nicky for the first time.
In a film that is part drama, part wacky comedy, Faustine Crespy and Laetitia de Montalembert explore the issue of access to welfare benefits and the insider knowledge required to obtain them. With fantastic performances by its two actors (and a dog!), this film poetically evokes the fringes of society and wins us over with its unique tone and sense of humour.
