In Malmousque, a former fishermen's district in Marseilles, new residents and bathers from all over the city mix. Virginie wanders the streets looking for her cat, while Elina is convinced that her husband has put spyware on her cell phone. The two friends go kayaking so they can talk to each other without the risk of being overheard.
Dorothée Sebbagh brings us a set of vignettes woven together to depict a unique area of Marseilles. Funny, profoundly human, and upbeat, MALMOUSQUE is a true summer’s tale about friendship and the beauty of emotion, in which the audience takes their time, like the characters in the film, to observe, be touched, and wander.
