Paris, France, 1963. A couple have an argument in a bar. A young man sitting nearby hears the man threaten his wife (Lou de Laâge). When a speaker announces the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, everybody stands up and moves closer to the bar to hear the news again. The young man takes the opportunity to talk to the girl and tells her what their life could be together if she accepts to run away with him, now.
