That Uncertain Feeling

That Uncertain Feeling

The Lubitsch touch is on full display in this newly restored 1941 comedy of manners. Jill (Merle Oberon) and Larry Baker (Melvyn Douglas) have been living in marital bliss for six years until Jill develops a nasty case of the hiccups. Exhausting all remedies to no avail and believing her problem to be psychosomatic, Jill takes the advice of friends and seeks the help of a psychiatrist. This leads to disenchantment with her husband and marital mayhem when she becomes romantically involved with Alexander Sebastian (Burgess Meredith), an eccentric pianist who is terrified of performing in front of large audiences.
