Abigail Harm
Abigail Harm (Amanda Plummer) reads books to the blind and lives alone on the outskirts of the city. Keeping her eyes turned away from everyone, she secretly watches, listens and hopes. One day, Abigail recalls an old story about a woodcutter who saves the life of a mystical deer and is granted his wish for a companion. Before long, this tale seems to come alive in Abigail’s own lonely world when a strange visitor mysteriously appears in her apartment.
Inspired by the Korean fable “The Woodcutter and the Nymph,” ABIGAIL HARM is a daring and surreal modern-day fairy tale from Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated writer/director of MINARI. Winner of Best Film and Best Director at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, ABIGAIL HARM From Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated writer/director of MINARI, it has been hailed as “more than just a film, it's an art piece and an experience” (Cinemacy).
