Art of Love
Erotic auteur Walerian Borowczyk presents his cinematic interpretation of Ovid's Ars Amatoria, a collection of poems written in 2 AD exploring the art of seduction and intrigue. While her husband is fighting in Gaul, Claudia (Marina Pierro), the wife of the Roman commander Macarius (Michele Placido), attends the lectures of Ovid (Massimo Girotti) on how to love and be loved by women. She then puts his theories into practice, taking as her lover the young student Cornelius (Philippe Taccini).
