Italy, 1900. Agata gives birth to a stillborn baby girl. According to Catholic doctrine, the souls of unbaptized infants are condemned to Limbo. Hearing about a place in the mountains where infants can be brought back to life, Agata sets out on a perilous journey to reach the mysterious sanctuary. Along the way she meets Lynx, a solitary boy who offers to help her on her quest for a miracle.
