Drama
Marie (Laure Calamy) is a 39-year-old independent prostitute, a passionate member of the sex workers union, and a single mother. When her rebellious son, who wants to pursue a career in cooking, gets kicked out of school, she tries enrolling him in a prestigious French culinary program. But when her contagious optimism does little to help her to pay the fees, she looks to find a solution at any cost.
The debut feature from writer/director Cécile Ducrocq, HER WAY is a “gripping portrait of life on the margins for a middle-aged sex worker” that had its world premiere at the Deauville Film Festival and earned Laure Calamy (Call My Agent!) a César Awards nomination for Best Actress.
