Frank Paterno, a Montreal mafia boss, hopes to legitimize his criminal operations by investing in an ambitious Italian bridge project. First, he has to recover the funds from his Greek creditor and entrusts this crucial task to his protégé Vincent, the son of tailor Henri Gamache. Ultimately, however, Vincent's ruthless tactics ignite a war between the two families.
