Stray Bodies
Robin is pregnant but does not want to be a mother. Katerina and Gaia are single and want a child. Kiki suffers from an incurable disease and wants to end her life with dignity. The procedures they hope to get access to – abortion, IVF and euthanasia – are all available and legal in neighboring countries but not their own, so they resort to what has become known as medical tourism.
“A profoundly observant survey of bodily autonomy and biopolitical control in today’s Europe. Brilliantly captures the multiplicity of the human body when made political.” –Modern Times Review
