For over 30 years Lila (Liliana Juárez) has been a dedicated cleaning staff employee in a provincial municipality building. She’s an important figure in the office’s close-knit society because of her shared role running the unofficial staff cafeteria, which she operates with her friend Marcela (Rosario Bléfari). When Lila gets the opportunity to refurbish the lunchroom and run it officially as the boss, the sudden elevation of her status causes friction with Marcela and an upheaval amidst the office’s delicate status quo.

The acclaimed second feature from Argentinian writer-director Ezequiel Radusky, THE LUNCHROOM had its world premiere at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, where Liliana Juárez was awarded the Silver Astor for Best Actress.
