The Wolves Always Come at Night
In the Mongolian desert, young nomadic couple Davaa and Zaya live with their four children, bound to the rhythms of the land. When a sudden, devastating sandstorm wipes out half their herd, they are forced to abandon their home and move to the outskirts of the city. But as they struggle to adapt to their new way of life, Davaa becomes increasingly haunted by the loss of his animals.
Australia's official selection for Best International Feature at the 2026 Academy Awards, the second feature from writer/director Gabrielle Brady had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to win the award for Best Documentary at the Silk Road International Film Festival in China.
