Drama
Indre, an ambitious research psychologist, reluctantly agrees to transport two patients to a seaside psychiatric unit in exchange for research privileges at her clinic. Outgoing Paulius is a young man whose manic bipolar disorder symptoms contrast with the introvert Juste, whose wounds are hidden from sight. While all three are fighting inner battles, this unlikely journey will bring them closer to their own personal healing and each other in this powerful yet bittersweet story that — just like summer — is filled with hope, surprises and the promise that anything is possible.
SUMMER SURVIVORS premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before going on to play numerous festival awards around the world. "It's a genuinely moving, skillfully executed cinematic experience, marking Kavtaradze as a talent to follow." - Teresa Nieman, Screen Anarchy
