Viktor, a young deaf man in Kharkiv, watches warily as Russia invades Ukraine. Inspired by samurai films and stories of heroism, he longs to fight for his country but is repeatedly rejected when he tries to enlist. Refusing to give up and eager to contribute to the cause, he sets out to find his own way to serve in a war he cannot hear.
