Nikos, a broke 30-year-old musician, is looking after his friend’s luxurious villa in the suburbs of Athens. In between poolside cocktails and dog sitting duties, Nikos concocts a plan. Still reeling from his recent break-up with Sofia, he invites her over for a week-long getaway. Sofia delightfully accepts not realizing that Nikos’ intensions are not as innocent as they seem. Nikos locks Sofia in the house and refuses to let her leave until she provides some rationale for breaking up with him, turning this supposed carefree vacation into a mess of games, fights, laughs and introspection.

AFTERLOV had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival where it won the Youth Jury Award First Prize.
