Dear Prudence

Drama, Independent, Crime
Seventeen-year-old Prudence (Léa Seydoux) is alone and adrift until she meets Marilyne, a high school misfit who introduces her to the Rungis race circuit where souped-up mopeds and muscle bikes illegally race each other. Fascinated by Reynald, Franck and the other guys from the Rungis clique, Prudence tries to find a place for herself by passing off her loneliness as freedom.
Winner of the prestigious Prix Louis Delluc for Best First Film, Rebecca Zlotowski's DEAR PRUDENCE had its world premiere in competition at Cannes Critics' Week.
“Seydoux burns with rage and sensuality, which works wonders for much of the film. Her heedless pursuit of sex and thrills combined with her long hair and effortless beauty is evocative of Catherine Deneuve circa Belle de Jour.” –The Film Stage
