Crime, Drama, Thriller
When the young, beautiful Cristina Tofan (Ioana Bugarin) sneaks away from her isolated convent and fails to return, Marius Preda (Emanuel Pârvu), a determined police detective, is called in to methodically retrace her steps. His investigation gradually uncovers clues and revelations leading not only to the unfathomable truth behind Cristina’s mysterious actions but possibly to an actual miracle as well.
“A crime drama of absorbing authenticity” that is “staged with an inexorable skill that tugs you along like a Patricia Highsmith novel” (Variety), Bogdan George Apetri's MIRACLE had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and won the award for Best International Film at the Warsaw International Film Festival.
