People and Meat

People and Meat

In Seoul, three broke and lonely seniors form an unlikely bond and reinvent themselves as the infamous “dine-and-dash trio,” slipping into restaurants for expensive meals and then vanishing before the bill arrives. As their quest for free meat turns them into local celebrities, the friends discover fleeting joy, rebellion and human connection in a city that had largely forgotten them.

Premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, Yang-Jong-hyun's PEOPLE AND MEAT is a “wistful poem about life and aging” that “observes the injustice of old age with humor and kindness” (Forbes).

“Veterans Park Keun Hyong, Jang Yong, and Ye Su Jeong deliver finely tuned performances. Each actor brings nuance, restraint, and warmth to roles that could have easily leaned on caricature. You find yourself rooting for them, quietly wishing they never get caught.” –Filmy Sasi
