In a forgotten corner of the Ottoman Empire, Hussein and his younger brother, Theeb, live in a traditional Bedouin community isolated from the conflict of World War I. Their quiet existence, however, is interrupted when a British Army officer arrives seeking a guide to lead him across the treacherous desert.
