Years after his daughter takes her own life following a sexual assault, Pastor Leung struggles to reconcile his grief with his Christian faith. When the young man responsible is released from prison and joins his church, Leung faces an agonizing moral dilemma. Torn between his duty to forgive and his desire for vengeance, he must confront the limits of his faith and the true meaning of redemption.
Receiving its world premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival, Jeffrey Lam Sen and Antonio Tam's acclaimed directorial feature debut, VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, stars Anthony Wong in a “quietly thoughtful” faith-based drama that explores the “potent issues of grief, forgiveness and redemption” (Shadows on the Wall).
