In present-day Venezuela, four best friends Lolo, Cacá, Eli and Alain live a carefree lifestyle as wealthy young adults in Caracas. Their hedonistic relationship, full of drugs, group sex and dangerous games, comes to an abrupt end when one day Eli is brutally murdered. Still haunted by her death sixteen years later, Alain is shocked to discover that Eli’s alleged killer is not who everyone believes it to be. With the help of a journalist, Alain must confront the ghosts of his past in this erotically charged psychological thriller.
Winner of five awards at the Festival del Cine Venezolano including Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress (shared by co-stars Johanna Juliethe, Eliane Chipia, Shakti Maal), Hernán Jabes Águila's JEZABEL is a “striking exploration of how we manipulate others and ourselves” (Film Festival Today).
