Equal parts thriller, sex comedy, and gastronomy, SEXUAL DRIVE is an unconventional triptych that follows the seemingly unconnected lives of three people and their appetites – both culinary and carnal. In the first story, a designer worries about his sexless marriage. Next, an office worker struggles to recover from driving-induced panic attacks. In the third, an elite advertising agent wants to end a relationship with his lover. Connecting all three tales is Kurita, a mysterious stranger who reveals mouth-watering secrets to each person about their sexual drive.
A “fetishistic exploration of food and sex” (IndieWire) that is “consistently intriguing and occasionally hilarious” (The New York Times), Yoshida Kôta's SEXUAL DRIVE had its world premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival.
